Mobile History Map, an initiative of the mSchools programme, is a geopositioning app that allows students to collaboratively create content on points of interest close to their schools while improving their digital skills.
Mobile History Map advocates the use of mobile technology applied to non-technological subjects. This platform allows students and teachers to create and document content about Catalunya, constituting a unique resource and catalogue of information.
Participation in the Mobile History Map initiative, together with the technical support of the Centres de Recursos Pedagògics and the Camps d’Aprenentatge, is open to all primary and secondary schools in Catalunya.

The mSchools Student Awards contest – Mobile History Map is back. Start preparing your project!
mSchools launches the new edition of the Student Awards 2018 in the Mobile History Map modality, a contest addressed to students and teachers of Primary and Secondary Schools and the Educational Services of the Department of Education.
Participate and win a 360 camera and a set of virtual reality glasses! You can register here. The registration period will run until 13 May.
Teachers and their students will develop a georeferencing project based on those areas closest to their center, town, neighborhood and / or county. This year’s novelty is that participants can choose any theme from any curricular area! The Mobile History Map platform also allows participants to create audiovisual or text-based content, as well as games and quizzes.
The contest rules and annex are already available on the MHM platform. You can also find a best practices guide, which will help the developers to create a very good project!
